As the students read more details about the history of Florida, they have been continually challenged to use the information for practical purposes such as insightful discussions and friendly debates in class. We will be wrapping up our exploration of our great state and hoping the students leave fourth grade with a strong foundation for learning about history, people, politics and map skills. We have tied together the ideal mission statement of Franklin Academy to our studies. The students have been enlightened, enriched and open to learning beyond the horizon. We continue to discuss present day life within our school, community and reaching to the state we all call home- Florida. We will be undertaking a new adventure in our classrooms, both in Mr. Campbell's room and mine! We have a new project where all students will have responsibilities, input and a job!
Our project is the responsibility of determining the ideal operation of our restaurants. The students will learn about paying rent, buying merchandise necessary to run the business and writing checks. All positions of the restaurants will be discussed and students will choose their positions. Mr. Campbell's restaurant known as: Campbell's Crazy Cupcakes is the ultimate in gooey and unusually flavored cupcakes thought up by each student's imagination! Your taste buds will thank you. I have discussed with my class to open a dessert restaurant called, "It's a Small World Dessert Company" where the students will offer decadent and delicious desserts from around the world.
Our grand opening is May 29, 2018 Thursday; more details over this weekend found right here on Weebly!
